Tutti i tessuti organici Berto sono certificati GOTS.
- Il Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) è la certificazione più importante per il cotone organico: garantisce al consumatore che i prodotti tessili biologici siano ottenuti in conformità con rigorosi criteri ambientali e sociali, applicati durante tutto il processo di produzione: dalla raccolta delle fibre naturali fino all’etichettatura del prodotto finito.
- Sono certificati GOTS: prodotti tessili; attività produttive; prodotti chimici per l’industria tessile.
- In Berto abbiamo una vasta offerta di tessuti realizzati con cotone biologico, una tipologia di cotone coltivato con metodi e prodotti a basso impatto ambientale. Due di questi tessuti sono tinti con una speciale tintura indaco.

Tutti i tessuti riciclati di Berto sono certificati GRS.
Il Global Recycle Standard (GRS) riconosce l’importanza cruciale del riciclaggio per la crescita di un modello sostenibile di produzione e consumo; mira a incoraggiare la riduzione del consumo di risorse (materie prime vergini, acqua ed energia) e ad aumentare la qualità dei prodotti riciclati. GRS prevede l’emissione di una dichiarazione ambientale verificata da una terza parte per fornire prove di:
- contenuto di materiali riciclati nei prodotti (sia intermedi che finiti)
- rispetto dei criteri ambientali e sociali in tutti i settori della catena produttiva.

OCS certifies the presence of at least 5% organic fiber in a finished textile. It verifies the handling and use of certified organic materials, but does not cover manufacturing processes.

GOTS-10431
The leading voluntary certification for textiles made from organic fibers. GOTS ensures full traceability, social responsibility, and environmental management. Certified fabrics must contain at least 70% organic fiber and exclude GMOs and hazardous chemicals.
STANDARD 100
Certified since 1996, this international system guarantees that all materials and finished textiles are free from harmful substances and safe for human use.
Better Cotton Initiative
Focused on sustainable cotton production, this standard is based on seven principles: crop protection, water stewardship, soil health, biodiversity, responsible land use, fiber quality, and decent work. Berto uses cotton that complies with the Better Cotton standard.
Consorzio Italiano Implementazione Detox
In alignment with Greenpeace’s Detox Campaign, Berto signed the Detox Commitment in July 2016, joining a group of companies from the Prato textile district under the coordination of Confindustria Toscana Nord. This initiative supports our ongoing commitment to environmental protection and the health of workers and consumers — even though our production had already excluded the use of these harmful substances.

Regenagri Cotton

A voluntary certification for textiles containing at least 50% fibers grown with regenerative farming practices. It ensures sustainable sourcing from farms certified under the Regenagri standard.
