Our Commitment to Responsible Fashion: From Deadstock to Future with RUFA

We firmly believe in a more responsible textile supply chain—where the beauty of the final product aligns with resource respect and the education of those who will shape the future of our industry. With this vision, we proudly supported “Fashion Persona”, an ambitious project by RUFA – Rome University of Fine Arts. Brought to life through a fashion movie, an exhibition, and a final runway show, the initiative visually expressed the values of circularity and conscious fashion.

"Sharing our deadstock with the next generation is an investment in the most responsible design of tomorrow."

Turning Surplus into Potential
The beating heart of the project was a gesture as simple as it was powerful: RUFA students gave new life to deadstock fabrics and textile leftovers from our archive.

This was not merely a design exercise. It was a practical demonstration of how one can:

  • Concretely reduce textile waste.
  • Create new aesthetic and ethical value.
  • Empower a new generation of designers, accustoming them immediately to a conscious and circular approach.

This initiative perfectly embodies our BERTO for Sustainability philosophy:

  • We turn surplus into potential: We view our scraps not as a problem, but as a resource and a canvas for innovation.
  • We share knowledge and materials: Opening our archives and our expertise to fashion schools means investing directly in the ethical future of the fashion system.

The result is a concrete contribution to a more ethical, inclusive, and forward-thinking fashion system. Thank you to RUFA for involving us in a project that skillfully blends culture, creativity, and social responsibility.
