Studiopretzel was founded in 2011 by Emiliano Laszlo, founder and creative director of the brand, and has its natural base in Tuscany. For this reason, from the beginning, it came naturally to utilize the great artisanal excellence of the region for the development of collections. From design to patterns, from prototypes to production, from embroidery to finishing, everything is concentrated and produced within the region. The intention behind this choice is both to give due recognition to local artisans of true Made in Italy, and to develop a sustainable and ethical production and consumption process, reducing emissions, working with small entities, using materials that do not derive from animals (embracing the LAV project, Animal Free Fashion). The inspiration behind the brand’s design is instead oriental, particularly Japanese, a land rich in traditions and creative ideas to work with from collection to collection.
Like Studiopretzel in Tuscany, Berto also starts from the same approach in Veneto: sustainability for the territory and for the people involved in the work. The development of ethical fashion is therefore reflected in both realities and has led to a stimulating creative encounter. The collaboration between Berto and Studiopretzel has been ongoing for two seasons now, thanks to the #berto4youngtalents project, created to support Italian talents and put the company’s know-how, history, and creativity at the service of their projects.
